This week's concert features music 
from the 17th and 21st centuries: 

J.S.Bach: Brandenburg Concerto 6 (scored for 2 violas, 2 viola da gambas, cello, bass, and harpsichord)
Larry Wallach: Prelude and Fugue for Viols
James Bergin: Duo for Violas ("Seelenpein")

Performers include:
Michael Strauss, James Bergin, violas

Lucy Bardo, Anne Legene, viola da gambas
Perri Morris, cello; 
Alice Spatz, doublebass
Larry Wallach, harpsichord

Bring a lunch to eat before the concert - St. John's will provide drinks and cookies.

Violin and piano recital Monday, August 10

New York-based violinist Emily Kalish has performed on the Summer Noontime Concert Series since its inception in 2004. She and pianist Scott Bailey (North Adams native and faculty member of Westfield State College) will perform neo-classical works of Hindemith and Stravinsky.  Don't miss this exceptionally captivating program!

Audience members are invited to bring a bag lunch to eat before the concert; drinks and cookies will be provided.

Children are welcome, and admission is free (donations gratefully accepted).
